Future Ink is Oakland's specialized signature studio at 5251 Broadway, on the Temescal/Rockridge border. We're the Bay Area's known names for heavy blackwork, Japanese geometry, and blackout — and a roster of eight resident artists, each owning a distinct lane.
Kevin Ligabue (founder) leads heavy blackwork, Japanese geometry, and blackout. Martín González (BOGA) works in heavy blackwork and Japanese hybrids. Eduar Talavera handles dotwork and sacred geometry. Hira Lupe leads dark botanical, ornamental, and illustrative work. Essie Bloom owns modern Japanese, ornamental, and full color. Alisha specializes in fine line, smokey, and dainty work. Annie Serrano (takotaco) covers illustrative, anime, and gaming pieces. Addison Kupina works in illustrative blackwork and sixteenth-century etching.
