Future Ink is at 5251 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94618 — Temescal/Rockridge, on Broadway between Piedmont Avenue and College Avenue. The studio's location is one of the most accessible in the Bay Area for tattoo clients:

• From San Francisco: BART from Embarcadero, Civic Center, or Montgomery → Rockridge (about 20 minutes) → 5-minute walk south on College Ave → right on Broadway. Total transit time from downtown SF is under 45 minutes.

• From Berkeley: 10 minutes south on College Ave or 15 minutes by AC Transit bus.

• From the East Bay (Alameda, San Leandro, Castro Valley): 20–25 minutes via 580 or 880.

• From Walnut Creek / Lamorinda: Highway 24 → 35–40 minutes.

• From Marin County: Richmond Bridge → I-580 → about 45 minutes outside peak traffic.

Street and lot parking are available on Broadway and nearby side streets. Most clients prefer BART (Rockridge station) on weekdays.

Best if you know the specific style you want and want a studio that owns that lane.

3. Single-artist private studios — solo artists working from private appointment-only spaces. Best if you've already chosen one specific artist.

Bay Area tattoo pricing in 2026 generally runs:

• Small pieces (1–2 hours): $200–$500

• Medium pieces (3–5 hours): $500–$1,500 per session

• Large-scale work (sleeves, back pieces, blackouts): $200–$300 per hour, priced per session of 3–6 hours

• Touch-ups within 6 months: typically free or discounted

Future Ink pricing falls in the standard Bay Area range. We do not undercut on price for specialty work (heavy blackwork, Japanese geometry, blackout) because those styles require senior-artist time. A non-refundable deposit via Zelle secures the appointment and is credited toward the final cost.
